he lured me with his chickens

i need to address an issue that has popped up several times in my new dating experiences. allow me to get serious for a moment, because in talking to my girls i've heard the same story over and over about "men" that can't take no for an answer. last night i went on a date with a kid i had been talking to on and off for the last month. we met out at a restaurant, had a nice dinner, a couple beers... the night was winding down and he invited me to his place to meet his beagle pup and see his chickens. against my better judgement, i follow him the 3 miles to his place, get the tour, meet said animals and allow him to kiss me. except, being a red blooded typical man that's not all he wanted. so he corners me and the octopus hands come out - it turns into a struggle for me to continuously pull away from him and i leave pissed off and feeling like an idiot for putting myself in that position. he texts me to know what he "did wrong" and goes into a whole accusatory speech about how i knew "what was going to happen" and what did i expect coming to his house, and he thought i wanted to mess around too and he "can't just turn it off". He honestly thought i came to his house to have sex with him. there are several problems with that:

1) never did i give any verbal indication that i was looking for anything other than a date. date meaning, we go out together, talk, have some laughs... i go home. maybe you get a kiss.
2) seriously? i don't think of myself as a prude by any means but how do you jump from a couple of kisses - WEAK kisses btw - to implied consent to have sex? who does that on a first date with a complete stranger??
3) he has the nerve to get pissed off at me because i didn't allow him to paw at me and have his way and tried to turn it around like i was in the wrong because i supposedly led him on.

The problem with men acting this way is that some women fall for their BS and allow themselves to be manipulated into doing something they don't want to do. I don't care if you get blue balls. I don't care how much you spent on dinner. I don't care how nice, sweet, funny, cute you are. If I say no I goddamn MF-ing mean no.

The problem with rape in this country is that the actions of the victim are scrutinized just as much if not more so than the attacker. the fact is that if i were just a little more drunk or had been wearing an outfit that was a little more easily taken off, i could have been in a lot of trouble last night with this kid. does that make him a rapist? his defense would argue that i had been drinking and was clearly irresponsible. his defense would point out that i willingly went to his house where i knew he and i would be alone. but he's not the first guy i've been with that saw an opportunity and tried his damnedest to take it. maybe that doesn't make him a rapist. maybe more of an opportunist.... but he sure as hell doesn't get a second chance with me.
