Let's catch you up, shall we? After an abysmal first quarter, my 2011 shaped up quite nicely actually.
January, February and March: fuck 'em. Bad, sad times. BUT the one silver lining was that I discovered that I, L.H., liked being in love. Loved, actually. LOVED being in love. Until it ended, obviously. But enough about that.
April and May were wound-licking months, and part of healing is finding some adorable sap to build you up right? Enter, J. I rekindled the friendship with him, although it took an awful lot of apologies and sucking up on my end. He was still pissed off about my first quarter too (the one where I told J I didn't want a relationship and immediately entered into one with M. oops. I would probably have been pissed too..). Anyway..amends were made and we started hanging out again. Then we started hanging out some more. One drunken evening in May, we ahem... took it to the next level. Fast forward..
June, July, August: Fun in the sun! Went on a couple of trips, had way too many drinks and laughs, enjoyed being a "couple" despite my original hesitations.
September: Boyfriend threw me birthday party, invited my friends, made all of my favorite dishes, and even cleaned up after. THEN whisked me away to the spa for an overnight complete with couples' massage, dinner, champagne in the room, a horrific amount of sex, AND presents! He could possibly be the best boyfriend ever.
October, November, December: Fall is my favorite. Scary movies, chill in the air, leaves, red wine. All of my favorites. And the perfect season when you have someone to snuggle up with. J has been great. Amazing. Looking forward to Christmas for the first time in many years :)

out with the old...
I haven't spoken to Matt aka 315 aka Watertown in almost 2 weeks. I told him I missed him and wanted to talk on the phone (imagine that..) and he "fell asleep" instead. I told him he makes me feel incredibly unimportant and I'm sick of it. Haven't heard from him since. So...another ending. BUT!!! In this glorious yin-yang life an ending is also a beginning. Which brings me to the chef. You may recall him; we've been "buddies" I guess for about a year, we saw one another a few times and I decided I liked him better as a friend than a ... whatever... He was broken hearted when I started up with Matthew and didn't speak to me for a couple months. But now we've made up and I've been seeing him just about every weekend for the past... 2 months? It's frankly a little ridiculous how much the kid adores me. I say kid because (I completely forgot this!!!) he's only newly 26 years old. Yikes! Completely smitten with me, inexplicably.
Things took a turn I think a couple of weekends ago when I went to his hometown (45 minutes away) for a night of silly drinking and debauchery. One too many beers later we were stumbling home and into his apartment. And the rest as they say...
He gets up in the morning to bring me coffee in bed and let out my dogs, makes me breakfast. He brings me my favorite wine. Last week he asked if he could come over after work (around 10pm) on a weekday. He brought me a big to-go of "lunch" for the next day, and snuggled me all night. Said he would bring me whatever I want any time.
I'm taking it slow with this one. I do not have butterflies in my tummy like I did with Matt. But I always had an underlying sense of panic with him - like the rug would be pulled out from under me at any moment. This one is safe and sweet and doting. My puppies love him. My friends love him. Everyone is rooting for him. Let's see..

Haven't heard from my Ginger since the last text so I sent him a message, helllllo? His text back, "hey i'm sorry, the past couple days have been hectic. the girlfriend had a mental breakdown and went to *#*$%&( for psych evaluation. it's been tiring."
WOAH WOAH WOAH. back the truck up. Your girlfriend is a lunatic that needs psych eval? I've seen this movie, the ending sucks. So I asked if it had anything...to do... with .... "us" and he said no. She has "issues". grrrrrrrrrrrreat. Figures. I make an exception to my rule and now I'm going to be hacked to death in my sleep. Watch. :P

baby did a bad bad thing
Do you know where your boyfriend was the night of the 9th? Because I do.... ;)
Normally I do not condone being "the other woman" in any ciscumstance. HOWEVER... I've been text-flirting with an old lovahhhh of mine and feeling the effects of a drought so when he asked if he could come over.. I said no. Then he asked me again. I said no again. Third time's a charm, damnit. He came over late on Monday night and it was just like old times. kind of. We saw one another in November for a quick wham bam but then he had an attack of conscience and wouldn't see me again (I blame the holidays). I managed to lure him back on Monday. Magnificent. LOVE LOVE LOVE him. In 1 hour increments. Do I feel a little guilty that he's cheating on his gf? Maybe for a second. But I've already lost him again! Damnit. Sent cheeky text, "do i get to see you again? or not for another 6 months now? ;)" nothing. ((sigh)) I love how the attack of conscience comes AFTER the dirty deed. That's men for ya. See ya in November. He's like a dentist; twice a year. :P

sooner or later it's over. i just don't want to miss you tonight
The first text message came less than 12 hours after he left me. "i'm sorry. i hope you don't hate me." Then 10 hours later, "you're never gonna speak to me again are you?" I resisted answering him for 2 days. Then in a fit of anger I let him have it. I flung every angry thought I had at him; called him a liar and thief. Told him he was weak. Told him to leave me alone. I didn't care about I'm Sorry, I didn't want to hear it any of it. He left me alone for 4 days. Then the "I miss you so much" started. I pictured him alone in his pitiful life at 2:25am sending me that message and I felt good. Of course he missed me. He has nothing. I had been on 2 dates, had a rebound fling with an old friend, lost 10 lbs and drank over tears with my amazing girlfriends since he left me. The "I miss you's" continued. I continued to ignore him. I would answer every 3 days or so. Tell him to leave me alone. Remind him that he left me. I miss you means nothing to me. Nothing had changed. The distance will always be there. We will not be friends. We will not speak. These are all the same things I told him when he broke up with me. I guess actions speak louder... which is what he needed to prove to me. He begged to come see me. I said no. We fought. For what? We were no longer together. What is there to fight about? I told him that. I spent weeks telling him to leave me alone, during which I got over him. I went dancing with my girlfriends. I stopped crying. I slowly was getting back to my normal single life.
He begged to see me again. I relented and he didn't show up. Got too busy at work, something with the kids... whatever. That was it. The next day I told him I'm completely done. Don't want to see him, don't want to hear what he has to say, once and for all leave me alone. He showed up that night with his tail between his legs. Tried to hug me at the door. No. Tried to sit close to me on the couch. No. Begged me for another chance. Asked if we can start over. I shook my head before the words were out of his mouth. He tried to kiss me. I pulled away. He said he loved me and asked me to say it back. No. I listened to his excuses about why he had ended it; he quit tobacco and it made him depressed, made it seem impossible to be together. He was having problems with his kids, money, hates the place he lives, hates work, etc. As I listened he realized what he was saying was bullshit that had nothing to do with me. What would be different if we got back together? He doesn't know. He would have to work it out. The distance doesn't change but he can change how he feels about it... He said the things guys say; "I didn't realize that when we broke up you wouldn't speak to me anymore. I miss you so much. I need you in my life. I thought it would be easier if we broke up, I would only hurt for a little while and then get better.. but it got harder. I miss you. I love you. etc etc etc". I listened. He had tears. I hid a few. I wouldn't say my cold shell of anger completely melted but I did let him kiss me.
We spent the day together this weekend. He has been texting me and calling me. I respond if I feel like it. The dynamic has completely changed between us. He needs me. I don't need him at all. He has something to prove. I could take or leave him. He had been asking to see me again. This weekend he asked if he could make me dinner. He rushed around to get indredients, texted me all day "Do you like asparagus?? Do you want mashed or roasted potatoes?" He got his haircut and bought a new shirt. He made me cornish game hen with a mushroom cream sauce. He asked if I liked it no less than 5 times. After dinner we put on a movie. He kissed me and I let him. We spent the night together. It was nothing like before. I felt like I was with any other guy. The love is gone.
In the morning he made me homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and scrambled eggs. He fussed over keeping my coffee cup full. We went for a drive, went for a lazy walk around the park and talked. He wants to be together. I don't. I'm not blinded by infatuation. I see every flaw. He went from being everything I thought I needed in life to be happy to just a regular guy that's too far away.
I have no poker face. He knows I'm over it. I cried when we said goodbye. I've only ever done that one other time and it was because I knew I would never see him again. He broke up with me a week after that. Time to move on.

all good things must end...
The signs were all there. But we ignore signs.. don't we.. The jealousy. The 5000 questions about guys that comment on your facebook. The whining about how far it is to drive for a visit. The slow, steady pulling away... But I was in love!!! So none of that mattered, right? The highs outweighed the lows. I was happy. SO SO SO happy. Ignoring my friends happy. Not even noticing the cute guy that delivers our water at work (and I used to shamelessly flirt with) happy. We would text or chat all day every day. We called each other "baby". He made me love a Southern accent. He made me love him, against all reason and argument. I told him it wouldn't work. He promised me he would make sure it did.
His reasons were exactly what he's been saying, as he's removed himself from me the last few weeks. "It's too hard, being so far apart." "This isn't working. And it's never going to work." "You deserve everything. Not someone you only see 2-3 times a month." "I love you. But I hate this."
That's the worst one. "I love you but..." worst thing you can say to someone, ever. So you love me. Great. But not enough to work it out. Not enough. Another in a long line of disappointments from men.
...breathe and delete...

4 :)
01/20/2011
Crab Shack
4th date with my honey, my baby, Mr. Watertown. He got to my house around 6:30. Kisses Kisses Kisses in the kitchen. Reservation was for 7. We decided to be late. ;D
Get to the restaurant and order some beers, some appetizer and some food. Then it's all saccharin sweet hand holding and eye-fucking each other across the table for the next hour and a half. Feeding one another off our forks, sharing a dessert. Disgusting. What has happened to me??
Back to my house for some wine and "movie". One glass and five kisses down, he's pulling me back upstairs. Rounds two, three, and four wore him out. Gave my sugar a back scratch and a leg rub and off to sleep. He woke up at 5am to drive home and I curled up in the warm spot he left on the bed. ((sigh))

3rd Date w/ WTown
January 11th
Sunrise Steakhouse (the old hooter's building. Class.Act)
WTown switched his day off from Thursday to Tuesday because I had company coming. He was due to arrive around 6, which meant I had to dash home from work, clean myself up (wash face, reapply makeup, brush teeth), feed and let the dogs out, pound a beer (nerves), and whatever other frantic nonsense popped into my head... Oh I had to take the chipped nail polish off my fingers. Because of course he was going to be looking at my hands the entire time...?
He gets to my house and I swoon. He's so cute and SO TALL. He had on his sexy man coat. It's a camel colored wool button up. mm mmmmm. He comes in and we do the hugs and kisses. I sip my beer while my housemate flits around getting ready for her evening out. I say, "you remember Matt, right K?" She says, "oh nice to meet you". Ouch. He gives me a WTF face. hahaha K leaves the room and he grabs me; makeout right in the kitchen, he has octopus hands up my shirt and down the back of my skirt. I peel myself away and walk him to the door so we can go to dinner.
Dinner was good. He wanted sushi and I had heard good things about this place, plus they have noodles and other things that I will eat.. that are not sushi.. ;P We order calamari, sake, beers, two different kinds of sushi (the tame stuff), he got a steak stirfry dish, I got a veggie noodle bowl. TONS of food and it was all delicious. AND he is so gd cute. Dinner was full of hand holding and inuendo and by the time the check came he was saying, "can we go now? back to your place? now??" hahahaa goofball. I asked if we could stop for a bottle of wine so we went up the road to the store. Walked around for a little bit looking at the bottles and trying to decide. I picked up one for my roommate (for her birthday) and we headed to check out. I mentioned that I didn't have anything he would want to drink and asked if he would like to keep a bottle of something at my house (he likes bourbon). Back to the aisles; he wants wine too. I pick a bottle that I love and consider fairly drinkable to people that don't drink a lot of wine (he doesn't). Back to checkout, he grabs the bottles out of my hands and pays.
Back to my house. I pour the wine and run upstairs to get a birtday card out of my stash while he picks a movie (Ocean's 11). I come back down and snuggle up on the couch. K was still bopping around the house getting ready to go; she's upstairs, she's downstairs, back upstairs... every time he kisses me she appears. UGH. Funny what a blanket over the top of you can hide.... ;D hahaa
K left after about 40 minutes, I refilled the wine, locked the door and it was on. I will spare the details, except to say Boy gets better every time. He stayed over and left around 5am to get his tush back to WTown and work.
Next date is this Thursday. ;D

New Year's!!! :D
For the first time in longer than I care to discuss, I had a date for New Year's Eve!! Watertown came to see me YAAYAYAYAYAY!!!! After a ton of chatting, talking on the phone (obviously I'm smitten with the kid bc I NEVER talk on the phone. I hate it blech), and facebook flirting, it was SOOOOOOOO good to see him again. ((sigh)) I'm in Trouble with a capital T. He got out of work early so he could come to my house before the party. Giddyup. I'll spare the details as this is a family blog. But let me just say... boy puts his mind to something (like oh... say... making sure I'm 300% sassified) and he does.not.quit. Amazing.
Made it to the party with a serious makeout chin (raw and red, oops), orgasmically late of course. (cshihs) Little drink, little food, lots of eye-effing and canoodling on the couch. Ball drops and it's back to my place for round two. Woof.
At some point in there he asked me to be his "girl" and I needed to clarify what all that entails: "you have to be nice to me, and tell me i'm funny.. and handsome.. and tell everybody else too.. and you have to tell me the truth all the time. that's pretty much it". So there you have it. All that. Bam... boyfriend. For the first time in 2 years I've decided to give it a shot. Fingers crossed. ;D
I even like him enough that I let him sleep over AND I made him breakfast the next morning. For the nosies: cream cheese stuffed french toast with bacon, OJ and french roast coffee.

New Guy!!! We'll call him Watertown. Because that's where he's from. Which is 2.5 hours away from where I am. INSANITY. He asked me out two years ago when I was freshly traumatized from the last huge mistake, I mean relationship, and I had the feeling he was a "relationships guy" so I turned him down. We've always remained friendly, but in October things took a flirtatious turn and now wham bam, love. We went to Beale Street on South last night for our first official date, then back to my place for some movie time (aka makeout).
The Good:
Kid is crazy, stupid sweet to me. When I expressed concern about the distance between us he said not to worry, that he will always come here whenever I want to see him.
He's from Alabama originally so he has that sexxxy Southern accent, which I thought would be annoying bc frankly I think that accent sounds...unintelligent... but he's lost enough of it that it just pops out a little in some of his words and is the cutest damn thing ON THE PLANET.
He's crazy about me. CRAZY about me. Like, went and got a haircut and bought new shoes for the date kind of crazy. When he asked me out last week I told him it would have to wait 'til this week bc I was going out of town and he said, "I've waited 2 years for the chance to take you out, another week is nothing." seriously?! Who is that adorable?
He paid for dinner. $100. Bam. Like it was nothing. Oh and did I tell you homeboy has money? Great job (which he can do anywhere), company car, sharp dresser..woof.
He's shy. His nerves definitely were showing at dinner. He sucked down three drinks and still had shaky hands. When we went to my house I gave him a solid 4 opportunities to kiss me before he worked up the nerve. When he did finally put those kisses on me, the hands and the mouth did not stop. He was behind me, under me, over me, kissin my knees, my tummy, my arms.. anywhere I would let him.
After making out for 3 hours (yes, that's right THREE HOURS), I finally relented and let him ahem...kiss everywhere he wanted to. An HOUR LATER, no lie, he finally took a pause and I pushed him away. Seriously. Had to push him away. I think I'm in love.
The Bad:
Besides the fact that he lives 2.5 hours away? (which technically could also be a good thing... since I don't like to be smothered by someone always around me...)
He has two kids with his ex-wife. They are 8 and 10. I never ever ever ever ever date someone with kids. Ever. The drama. The sharing of him with them. I don't wanna be a mama to my own kids and I for damn sure don't wanna play mama to some other woman's.
He's a pro-lifer and he loves Walmart. One of these is obviously more problematic than the other.
The Ugly:
None. Kid is amazing. The ugly part is that I'm crazy about him and again stand the chance of getting my heart stomped and beaten to a pulp. But what a fun ride :) YAY LOVE!

Well it's the holidays which means I pretty much hate everyone and everything with equal venom. I hate Thanksgiving. I hate Christmas. I hate the eves. I hate decorating, Christmas shopping and the freezing ass cold. I particularly hate the New Year. OOOOH goodie. Let's recap what you've done with yourself for the last 365 days. That'll bring the sun right out. OH OH OH!!! I know! Let's make resolutions of all the things we're going to accomplish next year! Then next year for New Year's we'll have more things to hate ourselves for not doing. Who ever thought that was a good idea?
To add insult to injury, every single person I know is in a relationship. As I type this. Everyone. Which means I'm the 5th, 7th, 15th wheel wherever I go. Fantastic.
Eff you holidays.

Second Date with Joe
Second Date at Old Toad on Alexander 11/17/2010
Horrible. Awful. Unspeakably bad. We argued about everything two human beings could possibly argue.. cats vs. dogs. Seriously.
The good part was he bought my dinner and beers. mmm mmmmmm
The other good part was he had an early morning and had to cut it short. I was like, ummm no problem buddy. No problem at alllllllllllll. ugh
NEW PROSPECTS ON THE HORIZON!!!
This Thanksgiving season, I am grateful for a seemingly endless cornucopia of men that want nothing more than to take me out for beers and gaze upon my lips and tips.
a) New policeman, Jason. WOOHOO I've always loved a man in uniform. Pros: umm he's a cop. duh. agreeable schedule. likes to drink. can get me out of tickets (when my tits can't). Cons: He's 36. That's a bit past prime for me. I like em young and malleable... we'll see. AND he has a kid. UGH. this can only be overcome by the hot uniform. We'll see. :P
b) Josh the pastry chef has been sniffing around again (technically he's an old prospect I suppose..). The pros: he adores me, inexplicably. I'm so mean to him to keep him from getting too attached but he loves me all the more. I told him last night I am going to punch him in the nads. He cannot be deterred. Is he psycho? possibly... $$$ baby. and he can cook. The Cons: possibly psycho. lives in Geneva (an hour away). I'm not attracted to him. He smothers me. I HATE THAT. And he doesn't care that I tell him I hate it. He does it anyway.
c) Chris, the cutie pie that gives me things. He's been around but not really. He works out of Albany so he's not in Rochester often. That falls under PROS category, obvi. He gave me leashes for my pups, $$$ donation for my charity, $50 wine for my birthday. PROS: He spoils me, clearly, and has the cash to do it. He works in a skilled trade and knows how to do a LOT of manly things. Woof. He babies his dog - like brushes her teeth, trims her toes, wants to breed her, etc. It's pretty sweet and he's definitely a nurturer. And crazy about me. CONS: he's very fit. maybe too skinny for me? SHY. REALLY SHY. He doesn't really drink. yay for a constant DD but I likes my cocktails... is he not gonna be down with that?
d) Aaron, this cop my sister knows and is trying to set me up with. Pros: Another Cop. Love me some cops. mm mmmm Apparently he's been hot for me for awhile and wants to take me out something fierce. And has $$$. And his own place. And likes to spoil ladies. Cons: Kind of geeky, not that cute. Also, why is he trying to get to me through my sister? Send me a message. Man Up! You're a cop for chrissakes!

Distillery on S Winton
New Boy from POF- Joe
The Skinny: Joe is a drummer in a couple of local bands, he works with bad ass kids in the city through a youth rehab program, and looks a bit like a young kiefer sutherland.
The Good:
a) he paid. You know how I love that.
b) he dressed up for the date. Jeans, button up shirt with a sweater over it. Nice looking.
c) good, flirty conversation.
d) he doesn't want kids.
The Bad:
a) he's cute but... i'm not sure i'd bang him. Jury's out.
b) he's a drummer. he's constantly drumming. on the table. on his leg. constantly. i told him i'd be over that real quick.
c) he's a bit cocky. and he talks about his job too much. I don't want to hear about a bunch of badass kids trying to stab you. Not interested.
The UGLY:
So that night and the next day he's talking about how much he enjoyed meeting you and asking when we can see each other again. I told him my schedule is pretty up in the air as I am looking at buying a new car, he asked what I'm looking at, I tell him mustangs... he says... "ohhh i don't think we can talk anymore. Mustangs are hideous, boxy, impractical, gas guzzlers. All mustangs are driven by douchabags."
WOW. Way to make an impression.

2nd Date with William, who I decided on 1st Date that I want to keep:
Serious flirtatious texting ensued all throughout Thursday. A sampling (William only):
10/28/2010 1:20am I had a lot of fun tonight !I wanna see you again... Soon :)
10/28/2010 4:07pm Which day are we going out? Or both!! ;)
10/28/2010 5:00pm what are you doing tonight? Friday works but I have to work early on Saturday. Saturday works better, but I don't wanna wait that long :(
Friday he was texting me all day, confirming dinner for the night, etc. He texted me around 6pm to let me know he had to run a quick errand and then would be over to pick me up. He shows up looking all cute in his dressy work clothes and we head towards upper Monroe to figure out where we want to go. Wind up at Brio and have a perfect, romantic dinner together. I won't bore you with details of our conversation, but it was a perfect second date dinner. Leave there and go to the South Wedge looking for a place to just chill and have a beer. His suggested bars were all packed so we wound up at that dump-ass bar Caverly's which had 5 people in it. Perfect for beers and darts though. When we left there we stopped because I had to get dog food for my mutts, and he said he didn't want to drink anymore but didn't want to go home yet. Wound up at my house (roommate was home) and put on a movie. Movie = makeout on the couch. Which we did. For 2 hours. Amazing.
Saturday we were supposed to go to a haunted house and then drinks/dinner after with my friends. We exchanged texts in the morning/afternoon about meeting up and he seemed like he was all about it. He was at work and wanted to change, etc so he was going to meet us up at the bar afterwards. I texted him at about 9pm to say we were done at the house and heading to a bar downtown. Didn't hear back from him until 11:30pm "I went down town now i'm drunk :(" At that point I was home and getting ready for bed, all pissed off. He called me at midnight but I was already asleep, then he texted me at 12:40 "where are you? :("
Sunday morning I sent him a message, just a hey sorry, got your texts late last night, hope you had a goodnight.
Nothing back.
Got into a big car accident Sunday night around 7pm and posted on FB. Heard from lots of other people, nothing from William... ok...
By about noon today (Monday) I still have not heard from him. Now I'm pissed.
I sent him a message: HEY What's up?
Him: Hey what are you up to?
Me: Working. have you been on fb? I was in a big accident last night.
Him: What happened? are you ok?
Me: yeah some kid turned in front of me, his fault. ok physically but last night was scary
Him: at least you're ok.
Me: yeah. too bad about saturday. what's your week like?
Him: ok so far. I don't feel well though
Me: No I meant are you free some night this week?
Him: Oh I should be Tuesday or Wednesday.
Me: ok... did you want to get together? are you being weird?
Him: Yeah sorry, just feel shitty. Really out of it yesterday and today. I had my phone off yesterday and just turned it on at noon actually.
HMMMMMMM ok here's my problem with this.... even if you're hungover or sick, you can still text someone when you know you had plans with them (tentative plans to watch the game on Sunday together). AND how can he magically feel well enough to comment on peoples' facebook statuses but not see that something's up with me or even just say hello?
I'm soooooooo sad about this. I was really into him. Butterflies, anticipation, happy to be around him... all that crap. I never get that. :(

William - new guy from Cupid
Got an email from this kid on Cupid last week that I caught his eye and he would like to get to know me better. A few messages back and forth and we decided to meet up for a cocktail. I was a bit worried from his picture that he could be a fatty, but I liked the looks of his sparkley eyes and smile.
I got all caught up watching Glee-runs on Hulu and was LATE for the date! EEK Get there and the place is cram-packed full of sausage. The kid at the door asks if I want a table and I say I'm looking for someone. He's all, "good luck with that, we're crazy busy! We have the series (BASEBALL WOOHOO!!), a party from RIT of 30 students and we just had 20 RPD officers come in for drinks, so be on your best behavior." hahahah awesome. So I walk around the bar once looking for him, stand off to the side to text him and see where the heck he was and OOPS found the RPD officers. mm mmmmmm It's always good to have a back up plan. Or twenty.
Walked around to the other side of the bar and was about to give up when I found him. SO CUTE. Way cuter than his picture, I LOVE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! I order a beer (Southern Tier Porter mm mmm) and he says ON MY TAB. Love him already. Great conversation, witty banter, etc etc. He gets some change and we go over to play darts. Obvious mutual interest and flirtation. AND!!! Get this! We're playing darts, I had to hit a 15 and an 18 in order to win. I throw dart 1, get nothing. Throw dart 2 and get the 15!! Throw dart 3 and hit the 18!!! Never in my life could I ever do that again, it was awesome!
Back to the bar for more drinks, watch part of the series and TONY BENNETT is singing!! It's like the stars were all aligned blessing our first date! We go outside (he smokes, but he said only 4 cigarettes a day and he's quitting. blech) and it's a beautiful fall night, little sprinkles of rain.. more titillating conversation and then he kissed me. sigh. ahhh the first kiss. I wish I was a little less drunky so I could remember it better, but we definitely made out in the rain on the deck.
We walk out together and he says he'll drive me to my car (it's raining harder at that point), a little more makeout and I literally dragged myself away from him so I could leave. Could've smooched on him all night. :p~
The Good:
a) he's tall and super cute
b) he's totally in love with me.
c) he has money and dresses well (bought my beers and an order of fries to share!)
d) works for the Chevy dealership
d1) gets a new car every 6 months
d2) I told him I'll be in the market soon and he said he'll totally help me buy a car bc he knows the process inside and out!!
e) kisses like a damn demon on payroll
The Bad:
a) smokes. blech.
b) lives in Livonia. I told him I will not be making that trek. Luckily he works in Rochester so we can plan around that
c) he says he's a cuddler. ick.
The Ugly:
UMMMM I actually really have nothing. I'm pretty much in love with him and we joked all night about going to Vegas and getting married next week. I suppose the "ugly" could be that I actually like a guy and potentially stand a chance of getting my cold black heart stomped. Oh he likes Sarah Palin. But we don't talk about that.

What if I had a good job, a car, but lived at home? Keep in mind I'm only home 2-4 months out of the year. I travel a lot for work so paying for a place I don't get to enjoy doesn't make sense.
ME:ummmmmmm what is the question? Actually it doesn't matter. The answer is NO

Rob - new guy from Cupid
Went out with this kid last night that I was actually pretty excited to meet. From his pictures, he looked cute, kind of scruffy and definitely interesting. I figured he would be a bit nerdy because he's an RIT grad and works in IT, but I thought there would be some other interests to balance it out.. not so much.
The Good:
a) he paid. that's always a plus in my book and surprisingly a lot of guys out there don't, even when they ask for the date. Unacceptable.
b) we had great conversation- we talked about movies, books we've read, classes in school, work. He's funny and a little quirky but generally we had a good time talking. No awkward pauses even.
c) I asked if he would share some food (I had work, then class and no dinner. At 8:30pm I was hungry) and he totally let me pick, didn't have any objection to anything except to say he doesn't love olives. Good job letting me order for us, I like that.
The Bad:
a) he has a pet snake. I can't get into that. Gross.
b) He's young. 24. Too young?
c) he's SHORT. I didn't realize until yesterday afternoon he's only 5'6". I live in heels.
d) he's into some weird stuff. Sci-fi, gaming (EEEEEK), Japanese swords... idk about all that
e) when he walked me out to the car I thanked him and gave him a hug goodbye. He literally leapt at me to hug me. Eagerness? Social awkwardness? Maybe that's not a negative, but it seemed a little "off"
The Ugly
He told a story about a professor of his that supposedly tried to get him kicked out of RIT. I guess he corrected her on a couple of things that she was wrong about in front of class, and I'm sure there is way more to the story, but I don't necessarily have a warm and fuzzy feeling about a guy that says on a first date that he "could've had her job". He came off pompous and smarmy about the whole thing. Not a fan. Also, pretty sure I wouldn't bang him.

24. Too young?
